He Said – She Said

Sheriff Larry Blanton (at a BBQ on 9-17-2008 honoring the volunteers for
the Sheriff's Dept)  "I really hadn't paid much attention to the Transportation Issue at first; then, I began to notice those folks at the bus stops waiting for bus service -   the disabled, elderly, and students, etc.   Now I know we gotta have it!"
.

Gene Zinkgraf, Director of Campus Services at COCC, “I started using (BAT), and I’m planning on using it instead of driving my own vehicle.  We don’t want anyone leaving school because they can’t find a parking place.:”

Jesse Brummett, 14, Deschutes River Woods - "If there was a bus, I could get home from my after-school activities like band practice, sports, games.    I could also visit friends, go shopping, or to the movies --- also have transportation for a summer job."

Nicki Pistacchio, current Bend resident and former Director of Site Selector Relationships, Greater Tucson Economic Council
In my work recruiting companies to the Tucson region, I quickly discovered that the beauty and livability of any region was not a deciding factor.  If there was no local transit available, there was no further interest from the company.  It’s vital that we ensure our area’s competitiveness in these corporate location searches by supporting public transit.
